- Trades Hall Council Meeting room (opposite Panthers Club), 2nd floor, Devonshire House, 408 King St, Newcastle West NSW 2302
Google Maps - In the lead up to the 2007 state election Hunter developers donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to the Labor and the Coalition parties. Many of these companies have since made millions of dollars profit as a result of favourable planning approvals. Corporate money should play no role in the democratic process. In New Zealand corporate political donations have been banned. In Australia the Greens are campaigning to end the corporate influence over political parties and the planning process.
- Speakers:
Sue Bradford, NZ Greens MP
James Ryan, Cessnock Greens councillor
Michael Osborne, Newcastle Greens councillor
David Shoebridge, Woollahra Greens councillor - Chaired by Lee Rhiannon Greens MP
