This week the Greens are hosting a gay and lesbian community consultation forum, marching in the Mardi Gras parade, launching local campaigns and speaking at various climate change forums. Mon 26 FebGreens MP Lee Rhiannon is meeting with farmers in Gunnedah who are opposing BHP Billiton's expansion into the region; Greens MP Ian Cohen is inspecting proposed Tilllegra Dam site, then addressing a public meeting at 5:30pm in Newcastle; 7:15pm - Greens Upper House candidate John Kaye attending Bondi District P&C meeting at Randwick Boys High School. Tues 27 Feb1pm Greens Upper House candidate, John Kaye addressing Wollongong University Youth Forum on Climate Change; 6:30pm – Lee Rhiannon will host the Greens Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual, Transgender and Intersex (LGBTI) community consultation forum at the Mori Gallery, CBD. Sat 3 Mar2pm Greens MP Sylvia Hale will speak at a Port Botany demonstration; 2pm Lee Rhiannon will address Asian Women at Work candidates forum; 2pm John Kaye will speak at Blue Mountains Climate Change forum; evening Lee Rhiannon and John Kaye will join the Greens float, dancers and marchers at the Mardi Gras. Sun 4 Mar2pm Lee Rhiannon and John Kaye will launch Greens Newcastle campaign at the GOOF Hall, Steel St, Hamilton; 2pm Sylvia Hale will address a Sandon Point Rally in Wollongong. Greens MP Sylvia Hale will be campaigning in Penrith, Katoomba, Portland and Bathurst this week, and will also be doorknocking in Marrickville and Balmain. |
