Vote 1 The Greens 2007
In March 2007 put more Greens in the NSW Upper House
For the past four years, three Greens MPs have used the NSW Upper House to hold the government to account, expose dodgy deals and protect the public interest. Lee Rhiannon, Ian Cohen and Sylvia Hale worked with the community to uncover the Cross City Tunnel fiasco, keep Snowy Hydro publicly owned and stop Sydney’s desalination plant.
Election Information
The NSW election has been called for the 24th March 2007.
With your help, imagine what more Greens MPs could do:
- a jobs rich, clean energy future
- revitalised railways and public transport
- quality public services
- wise use of water and recycling
- native forests protected from woodchipping
- neighbourhoods saved from developer greed
- a fair go for Indigenous Australians
- an end to privatisation
- defend rights at work and in the community
Lee Rhiannon is the Greens lead Upper House candidate. For seven years, Lee has been a powerful and successful voice in the NSW parliament for public transport, an end to developer donations to political parties, and the rights of communities. She exposed the Cross City Tunnel deal and campaigned to stop new coal mines.
John Kaye is second on the ticket. John is an
expert on clean energy solutions to global
warming. He is also a campaigner for public
schools and TAFE and is an effective
opponent of privatisation.
Message from Greens Senator Kerry Nettle

“Electing more Greens to the NSW Upper House will protect communities, public education, health and transport services, and the environment. In federal parliament, The Greens are working hard to Rescue the Senate from John Howard’s majority which is destroying the rights of working people, selling Telstra and expanding the nuclear industry.”
